My Cloffice Reveal

March 24, 2020

The day is finally here! I am so excited to reveal my favorite space in the new house right now: My Walk-In Closet/Office!

If you’ve been keeping up with my House Hunting Story, then you already know our new house was built in 1917 and one main characteristics of houses built around that time is that closet space is very limited!

Before moving in, I knew immediately that I would need to transform one of the spare rooms into a walk-in closet. In addition, I also work from home three days a week, so I knew I wanted to carve out a space in the house where I could be productive.

The process was three long months in the making and although it is not quite where I want it (I’m about 90% done, lol), I’m just happy I can share what I’ve been working on with you this whole time!

Closet Details

I went with Wayfair for my closet units. If you know me then you know I love a good bargain and I wanted something that would give me the fashion blogger aesthetic without the the hefty price tag. I also wanted something that would be easy to break down if I ever decided to convert the space back into a bedroom.

 Office Details

In designing my work space, I knew I wanted it to be spacious, minimal, and sun drenched!
The work desk was another great find over at Wayfair and I love the natural wood color it brings into the gray and white space. The size of it is also perfect! My work area can get quite cluttered throughout the day so it’s nice that I have all this desk space to play with. The chair which is my favorite piece in the room (it is sooo comfy!), is courtesy of Pier 1, and yes, you guessed it, I got her super discounted too!

Decor

My decor is an assortment of things I’ve purchased and collected over the years. There is pretty much a story behind almost every decor item in here! I also like the idea of having positive affirmations in and around my productive space. It really gets me in the right frame of mind and sets the the tone for my day. I wanted to incorporate as well, my boho aesthetic into the space. I think the rug and baskets I picked out, were perfect for adding that touch!

Final Thoughts

Overall, I have to say I am very thrilled with how my cloffice came out! I think the place where you work or feel most creative should be clutter free and inspiring and so far this space does just that for me. Also now that I can literally see every piece of clothing I own, I’ll never have to complain that I have nothing to wear. Well…more to come on that last part later, lol! Let me know in the comments what you think of my cloffice! Is there anything you would change or add?
